Salim İskender, born in 1977, graduated from Gülhane Military Medical Academy in 2001 with the rank of lieutenant. After working as an infirmary doctor (mandatory) for 3 years as a general practitioner, he started his specialty training in GATA Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic, which has a long history as Turkey's first Plastic Surgery Clinic. He became a plastic surgery specialist by completing his specialty thesis in 2010. During his assistantship and expertise, he participated in many national and international congresses and strived to increase his competence in his profession. In this sense, his specialization thesis was accepted at the international (2013 ASAPS, San Diego) congress. In 2009, he carried out the study in which breast reduction surgery was evaluated with 3D gait analysis for the first time in Turkey, presented it at a national congress and published it in an international journal (Aesthetic Plastic Surg. 2013 June).
